Shabe Barat, also referred to as the Night time of Forgiveness, is a major non secular observance within the Islamic calendar. It’s celebrated on the fifteenth night time of the month of Shaban, which is the eighth month of the Islamic calendar. In 2025, Shabe Barat will fall on March seventh.
On this night time, Muslims imagine that Allah (God) descends to the heavens and forgives the sins of those that search His forgiveness. It’s a time for reflection, repentance, and prayer. Muslims usually spend the night time in worship, reciting the Quran, and making dua (supplications) to Allah.
