The federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is a federal company throughout the U.S. Division of Justice that’s liable for the custody and care of federal inmates. In 2025, the BOP shall be implementing a pay elevate for its workers. This pay elevate is an element of a bigger effort to recruit and retain certified employees and to make sure that the BOP is ready to present a secure and safe atmosphere for its inmates.
The pay elevate shall be carried out in two phases. The primary section will take impact in January 2025 and can present a 2.6% pay improve for all BOP workers. The second section will take impact in January 2026 and can present a further 2.2% pay improve. This pay elevate would be the first important pay improve for BOP workers in a number of years.
