“Mission 2025 Librarians” is a workforce improvement initiative launched by the American Library Affiliation (ALA) in 2015. Its purpose is to make sure that all librarians have the talents and information they should meet the challenges of the twenty first century. The venture relies on the idea that libraries are important to a thriving democracy and that librarians play an important function in making certain that everybody has entry to info and the talents they want to achieve the digital age.
The venture has recognized six key areas of focus:
