Litha 2025, often known as the summer season solstice, is a major occasion within the Wiccan and Pagan calendar. It marks the longest day of the 12 months within the Northern Hemisphere and is a time of celebration, fertility, and development.
The summer season solstice has been celebrated for hundreds of years by many cultures around the globe. In historical Greece, it was often called the competition of Helios, the solar god. In Rome, it was celebrated because the Feast of Vesta, the goddess of the fireside. And in Celtic cultures, it was often called Beltane, a competition honoring the god of fireplace.
